Leixlip’s popular Court Yard Hotel is a boutique style hotel on the banks of the river Liffey, which opened in 2005. It is built on the site of Arthur Guinness's first brewery, established in the Kildare village in 1755, before the move to St. James's Gate, in Dublin. The hotel features three separate bars, including a recently opened SteakHouse 1756 Restaurant, and forty contemporary en-suite bedrooms and luxury suites, as well as extensive banqueting and conference facilities.
